Stockbrokers, formerly Forbes ABN AMRO Securities, is one of the oldest
and most established brokerages in Sri Lanka, with an operating history
that extends back to the late 1890s when the share broking industry
began in the country. The firm offers a full broking service backed
by a highly competent research capability and its staff includes some
of the most experienced and capable professionals in the business.
DFCC Stockbrokers has consistently ranked within the upper league of the industry. Accounting for one of the largest client-bases amongst broking firms - a base that includes the key local investors, institutional and retail - DFCC Stockbrokers also has access to foreign investors. This all round capability has enabled the firm to originate some of the larger transactions executed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. Besides transactions of listed equity on the stock exchange, DFCC Stockbrokers has also originated private equity placements.
