At a meeting of the Board of Directors of DFCC Bank held on the 9th of September,
Mr. J. M. S. Brito was elected Chairman of the Board succeeding Dr. T. N. Jinasena who resigned from the board.

Mr. Brito is a Chartered Accountant and he also holds a Bachelors degree in Law and a Masters degree in Business Administration. Mr. Brito who was appointed a Director of DFCC Bank in March 2005 is Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Aitken Spence & Co. Ltd. He is also a Director of Sri Lanka Insurance Co. Ltd and Chairman of Srilankan Airlines. He is also a member of SEMA and TAFREN.
